運用3D 列印技術製作混凝土構件 (Contour Crafting)
Contour Crafting 是利用3D 列印製作混凝土構件的技術.
根據報導, 目前技術可於20小時內完成佔地2000 平方英呎房屋的外牆.
目前該領域的權威是 Behrokh Khoshnevis, a professor of industrial and systems engineering at the USC's Viterbi School of Engineering
Behrokh Khoshnevis預期兩年內該技術即可商業化.
Behrokh Khoshnevis亦正與NASA合作,研究該技術運用於月球及火星上的可行性.
由於水易由水泥及混凝土中蒸發, 故重點在於尋找適用的膠結材, 目前發現可利用熔硫(melting sulfur)解決.
報導提到, 目前美國每年約40萬人於營建業的意外中受傷, 6000~10000人死亡.
